Experts - Conditions

All stamps submitted to the Expert Committee are accepted entirely at the senders' risk.

Please ensure submissions are received at least 7 days prior to meeting date so that working papers can be prepared and the items checked against the Committee's records.

Expert Meeting Dates

16th July, 27th Aug, 1st Oct, 5th Nov, 10th Dec

2009
28th Jan, 11th March, 22nd April, 3rd June, 15th July

To facilitate more efficient handling items can only be accepted when each item is sent with a completed submission form.

Approximately four weeks from the date of the Committee Meeting are needed to complete the processing. If further consultations are required, this period may be extended.

Conditions on which stamps are received for examination:

Every reasonable care is taken of specimens sent in for examination, but they are received and will be dealt with subject to these conditions, and in particular, the stipulations set out below, and any person sending in specimens shall be bound by the same and all things theretofore done by the Committee in accordance with the same.

The stipulations are as follows:-

Cheque drawn on a UK bank

Credit card. We accept any card displaying the Visa or Mastercard symbols (except Electron cards). Those wishing to pay their account by this means should add 2.5% handling charge to the invoice amount.

Please ensure we receive the total amount of payment due.

Cheques in Euros (not the old style Euro cheque - we no longer accept these.)

Dollar cheque. While we can accept dollar cheques, the bank charge for cashing these is very high - please add £10 to invoiced amount to cover these costs.

It is possible to send cash (at your own risk) by registered post. If not sending sterling, please add 2% to the invoice total for the commission the bank will charge converting to sterling.

All overseas submissions will need to be paid for before the items are returned. To speed the process, if paying by credit card, please send us your card details now. If using another method we will invoice you when your items are ready, and then will send them immediately following your payment.
