London 2010 - Festival of Stamps

London will host a major international philatelic event in the year 2010. It will comprise a number of linked events focussed around the primary competitive exhibition, which will be held from 8 to 15 May 2010. The principal venue will be the Business Design Centre in Islington, utilising all the space available which is almost double that normally used twice a year by Stampex. The BDC will be the centre for dealers, postal administrations, competitive exhibits and invited displays representing the world of philately.

A novel addition will be the link with the philatelic organisations based in London who are planning parallel events, at different locations, which will overlap with the main exhibition. There is a team involved in the overall event which includes Royal Mail, the Royal Philatelic Collection, the British Postal Museum and Archive, the Royal Philatelic Society London, the British Library Philatelic Collections, the Philatelic Traders Society and the Association of British Philatelic Societies.
