Getting involved

Volunteering is a great way of helping the Royal

The Royal benefits immensely from the time and expertise that volunteers bring. Whether it's a few hours on a small project to ongoing assistance, there will be something for everyone.

A list of current volunteering opportunities is listed below. If you have a project in mind, and it is not listed below, please contact the relevant department about ways of working.
If you're interested in general cataloguing in the Museum, please contact the Curator on museumarchives@rpsl.org.uk.

If you're interested in general cataloguing in the Library, please contact the Librarian on librarian@rpsl.org.uk.

Please note, some of the projects may be restricted to philatelists or members of the Society, due to subject specialisms.

A recent graduate?

If you're a recent graduate looking to gain experience and you are interested in cataloguing, digitisation or preservation in the Museum, please email the Curator on museumarchives@rpsl.org.uk. Likewise, if you are interested in gaining experience in the Library, please contact the Librarian on librarian@rpsl.org.uk.

Interested in a University placement?

University students on a museum/library/archives course who wish to base their university placement at the RPSL should contact the Museum Curator on museumarchives@rpsl.org.uk or the Librarian on librarian@rpsl.org.uk.
