Object Part The Scottish Philatelic Society Trotter Cup. The inscription on the trophy reads: 'PRESENTED BY/Dr. ALEX. TROTTER. F.S.P.S. /PERTH/TO/THE S.P.S./TO BE/COMPETED FOR/ANNUALLY/by the Members of /THE SCOTTISH/PHILATELIC SOCIETY'. Embossed floral pattern. Decorative handles. Hallmarked. On 25th June 1937 Dr Alexander Trotter, Medical Superintendent of Perth Royal Infirmary, presented a silver cup for an annual competition. The first winner was Mr A. The first recorded winner was A. Wallace Cowan in 1938; the last recorded winner was J. Mellon in 2020. Green velvet pad on bottom.   
Object Part Wooden presentation box for The Scottish Philatelic Society Trotter Cup. Leather handle on the top. A typewritten paper label 'Scottish Philatelic Society Trotter Cup' has been stuck on the top of the box. Wood door is secured by a metal side hook. Green felt lined interior.
