Any display claiming to show China comprehensively is doomed to failure due to the breadth of the subject. This display therefore introduces early mail in China and the foreign post offices then concentrates on subjects less studied and not previously displayed to the Society. These include commemoratives before 1950, perfins, anti-bandit controls, Taiwan in the Japanese and immediate post-war periods, Communist regionals and postage dues.
