Event Desc:
South Australia, unlike the other Australian colonies, was established for free settlers only and was far less populated than NSW or Victoria. Surviving mail is far less. However, this display includes the earliest known letters, rare overseas and Contract mail, much of which was included in the International Large Gold medal exhibit.
