the missing amount noted with 15 (Kr.) and taxed in Corfu with 65 L.
Rate 15 x 3 = 45 + 20 local = 65 Lepta

Letter from Trieste 26.8.1871 underpaid with 15 Kr Instead of 20 Kr.
the missing 5 were doubled to 10 and transferred to 45 L.
this amount is much too high - correct rate should be 27 L.
nobody neither in Austria nor in Greece can explain this amount- so it is called ,the mystery 45 L."
