Mosul was occupied on 1.11.18 and a P. 0. was opened using overprinted British
occupation stamps. Due to French objections, as the status ofMosul had not yet been
determined, these were withdrawn after a few days. The only recorded entirefrom this
period. Illustrated in Parsons (Fig. 66).
