Indicium 1s 3d - Sans Serifed Text

With the increase of the minimum postage rate
        on 1 Oct 1957, the 1s 2½d indicium became
redundant. The new 1s 3d envelopes were
printed with urgency, with the three larger
sizes being available the same month as the
rate change became effective and the Size F
in late 1958. Uprated 1s 2½d envelopes were
sold at the same time to use up stock.

The 1957 series of these 1s 3d envelopes uses
the same style text as the earlier issues, i.e.
with a sans serif font. This changed in 1959.

The text in the bottom left of the front varies
on Size G, giving three Types.
