       There are no proofs of the 1s 3d die in the Cecil Thomas archive. POST 52-716 in the Postal Museum in London comprises a 238-page file detailing the logistical difficulties of
       creating new issues in the summer of 1957 ready for the price increase on 1 Oct 1957. Many of the problems came down to the short lead time and the fact that Cecil Thomas
       was on an extended holiday in France.


       It is possible that unlike all of the other values in this series, Cecil Thomas was not responsible for the artwork of the inscription ‘1/3’.
