                      Letter placed in diplomatic pouch, not opened until received in London.

                      Westminister Office  applied  the  red  oval  date stamp, Willcocks  &  Jay type 465b,
                      used 1827  - 1833, forwarded to London Two Penny Post for delivery.  The red "T P
                      / New ... " is a  receiving house stamp; the black "2" is amount due on delivery.  Two
                      Penny Post system extended approximately 12 miles delivering letters not called for
                      at the General Post Office.
