Designed by E R M Jones. Based upon a photograph taken by the Department oflnformation.
Originally proposed design (Native headdress), submitted Sept 1950. Subsequently altered to the issued
design (Dec 1950), following advice from the Administrator, with a recommendation to' improve chest
development'. Approved for design and size (Jan 1951). Issued in blue as a make-up value. Qty sold
2,802,756. Withdrawn 11.07.60.
