In the early years of the 20th century the use ofHango declined and the larger port of
Turku (Abo) was developed as a terminal for the ferries to and from Sweden.
1903 postcard posted on board a ship from Sweden. It was landed at Turku where
the port's FRAN UTLANDET straight-line maritime postmark was applied together
with the town's tri-lingual (Swedish I Finnish I Russian) arrival postmark.
