1930 Overseas Postcard (Airmail)

The address side of the 40c airmail cards includes a vignette showing children reading a book, and an imprinted
airmail stamp of the ‘Winged Letter’ design first introduced in 1929.

the main office in Luzern.
Conveyed by rail via the
St. Gotthard route to
Milan, then to Genoa for
the SANA (Società
Anonima Navigazione
Aerea) flight to Rome,
then rail to Florence.
