The occupation of Callao
CalJao was the main port serving Lima and it was occupied by Chilean forces shortly after they took Lima in
January 1881.
Chilean stamps can be found cancelled by a Peruvian two-ring device reading "ADn DE CORREOS CALLAO"
with the date in the centre (only one device of27mm diameter has been recorded).
