Composite Die Proof in vermilion:
Composed ofthe six issued values (~ 1, 2, 4, 8, 10 cents) and the un-issued 12 cents on thin white lDl-watermarked
paper. Apart from the inscriptions the designs for each value, such as number and length of the oars, are ideotical to
those of the previ.ous issues showing that the printers, B1ades, East & Blades, no doubt 10 save time and money, ~
engraved the existing dies rather than originate new ones.

Status is not known, but it is possible that this was done in order to devalue them prior to presentation.
