January 4, 1845. Adhesive canceled with “131” numeral handstamp of
Edinburgh. Letter refers to a meeting of the contributors to the Royal
Infirmary on Monday, January 6, 1845. Letter apparently missed last mail
pickup of the day and was marked “TOO LATE” to indicate reason for
                             possible delay in delivery.
