Mrs. David Gubbay, Hannah (1886-1968), received this invitation to the Opening of Parliament on
Tuesday 31October1961, which she would have attended wearing the required 'Day Dress with Hat'.

Hannah Gubbay was a cousin of Sir Philip Sassoon from whom she inherited Trent Park. She utilised
her wealth to study and collect a range of antiques, which she left to the National Trust on her death.
Hannah Gubbay often visited antique fairs and similar events in the company of H.M. Queen Mary.
