There was a time, apparently, when a local Member of Parliament would send a personal letter of congratulations
from the House of Commons to a newly-wed couple who were his constituents. Gordon and Joyce Bloomfield
received this letter from Edgar Granville (1898-1998), the Liberal MP for Eye at various times from 1~29 to 1951.
