The Suez Crisis of 1956 brought the downfall of the Prime Minister, Sir Anthony Eden, but with all the
anger and confusion, there came some messages of support, for which this response was sent.
Sir Anthony announced a ceasefire in Suez on 6 November, the week before this letter was sent
