               Envelope that contained a letter sent to the London address of Winston and Cleme~tine Churchill on 2 November 1948.
 =              The Churchills lived at 28 Hyde Park Gate from October 1945 until Winston's death in January 1965, not fully vacating
                    the house during his premiership of 1951 to 1955 when his official residence was at No. 10 Downing Street.

                 Lettice Marston (1919-89), later Mrs Robert Shillingford, was Winston's secretary from 1945 until 1953, flew with
                     him to Potsdam and accompanied him on other foreign visits, remaining close to the family in later years.
