• Normal Combination-Frankings 1862 consists of 2 parts- the insufficient and therefore not accepted franking
and the tax in Greece for the complete unpaid rate
Here we find an extraordinary exception together with the interception of letters in the Postoffice in Vienna
by Mr. Kallab, an employee there. In his shelves were found a lot of letters .
This one was franked with 15 Kr. to Berlin, sent after the discovery 15. 4. 1862 to Berlin, arriving 17. 4. and sent
the same day to Athens, at 19. 4. again in Vienna and via Trieste to Athens, taxed there with the
full rate of 110 L. for covers coming from the German-Austrian Postal Federation.
