November 9, 2005. Launch of Venus Express (VEX), the first Venus exploration mission of ESA,
integrated in Italy by Alenia Space
January 15, 2006. The ESA Huygens probe lands on Titan. During its descent and landing, Cassini
relays 350 pictures received from Huygens. Interplanetary telecomm equipments were designed and
built by Alenia Space in Rome. Cover commemorating the encounter with Titan, cancelled at
Pasadena where is the NASA’s JPL Deep Space Network Tracking Station.
