MS Kungsholm (1966)

Although operating on the Atlantic route, the Kungsholm was designed primarily for cruising. Cruising
became such a commonplace experience that the same CRUISE date-stamp was used on most occasions.

Postcard posted on a CRUISE on 18 December 1972. The SAL
fleet was known as the White Viking Line. Regular postcard with
extra printing with a Christmas verse. It is stamped at the top
"SHIPS OF SWEDISH REGISTRY". This was important
information for passengers, as the SAL had set up a Panama-
based subsidiary to operate its 1972 acquisition, the MS Lindblad
                                    Explorer.
