MS Lindblad Explorer

In 1972, the SAL purchased the expedition cruise ship MS Lindblad Explorer through a Panama-based
subsidiary, United Cruising. The ship was registered in Panama, while all of the other SAL cruise ships
were registered in Sweden. While the other cruise ships, the Kungsholm and the Gripsholm, were sold in
1975, the Lindblad Explorer continued operations with the SAL until 1980.

Lidblad Explorer aero gram with the cachet from the first Arctic voyage,
cancelled by favour at Ny-Alesund on 21August1972.
