Organised by Thomas Cook the Kungsholm celebrated the Coronation of King George VI with a cruise
that started on 1 May from New York. It had stops in England, Holland, Sweden and France.
The stops in England coincided with the King's coronation on 14 May 1937

The Pittsburgh Press reported (27 March 1938) on the success of this cruise that "passengers found
themselves so enthusiastic over Lilac-Time in England, Tulip-Time in Holland and Sweden's earlyfiower-
season that they demanded an encore in 1938."
