                    10 July 1953: philatelic cover addressed to Rochford, Essex and posted at the Burgernziele sub-
                    office  in  Berne.  Franked  with  complete  set  of  the  1953  Pro  Patria  issue.  The  correct  rate  for  a
                    registered letter to England was 80c (40c foreign letter + 40c registration fee)


                          The 5c value of 1953 saw the final use of the inscription ‘Confœderatio Helvetica’, and
                          a transition towards the linguistically accepted country name, in Latin, of HELVETIA.
