1952 Overseas Postage
The Bundesfeier art card for the 1952 National Festival was issued to raise funds for historical research and popular
culture. 160,000 cards were produced.
7 June 1952: Bundesfeier card addressed to Fife, Scotland, and posted at the Plainpalais office in Geneva.
Franked with a 30c adhesive from the National Festival issue of the corresponding year. The correct rate
at the time for an overseas postcard was 25c. Why the 5 and 20c values were not used is unclear.
