1928 25c Inland Postcard (Airmail)
Between 1928 and 1931 additional cards were produced for domestic and overseas airmail use. The inland card
includes an imprinted 25c blue ‘Airplane over the Alps’ design, identical to the airmail postage stamp issues of 1923.

Eight special return flights were organised for 1 August, departing from airfields at Geneva, Lausanne, Le Locle,
Chaux-de-Fonds, Biel, Basel, Zürich and St. Gallen. Each flown card was cancelled with an official cds in red ink.
