Thirty Centavos

           This was a seldom used value since its denomination could easily be made up from l 0 and 20 centavos
         stamps. This could explain why large stocks were on hand in 1903 when the postal authorities used this
         value to surcharge it 10 centavos.

        When it is found on cover it has usually been used the same way as the IO and 20 centavos value~ namely
        to prepay overseas  UPU postage plus a fee for registration.
