Robert Crewe-Milnes, 1st Marquess of Crewe (1858-1945)
British Liberal politician and writer, who during his career was successively Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Leader of the
House of Lords and Lord President of the Council. Ten years after the death of his frrst wife and at age 41 years,
he married Lady Margaret (Peggy) Primrose, the 18 year old daughter of the 5th Lord Rosebery.
