the minimum inland
registration fee was
increased from 1s 6d to
1s 9d, which required a
new 2s Registration and
Postage die to be made.
To allow time for the
new denomination to
be printed, a short-term
additional MINIMUM
REGISTRATION / 3 /
D
EXTRA device was used.
Initially this appeared on
old stock which still had
the text ‘Fee 1s 6d’ on
the back.
Registration copies of
these envelopes were
not produced.
First issued in Jul 1963.
Size H opened out to show superseded ‘Inland Fee 1s 6d’. Dies recorded: 44 & 47
