January 9, 2014. First Commercial Resupply Service (CRS) mission for Cygnus. The launch of
Cygnus PCM-1 was scheduled for December 18, 2013, but had to be postponed, due to malfunctions
of a pump module aboard the ISS. It delivered 1260 kg of supplies, including Christmas presents for
the astronauts.
July 13, 2014. Launch of the Second Commercial Resupply Service (CRS) mission for Cygnus.the
spacecraft was named after Janice Voss, the woman astronauts recently passed away, who was
manager at Orbital. Commemorative launch cover postmarked in Wallops Island on the day of launch.
Eight resupply Cygnus Missions are planned altogether. The pressurized vehicle of Orbital Inc. is built
in Italy by Thales Alenia Space Italy.
