In the mid 1960s a ferry route
was opened between Helsinki
and Karlskrona in southern
Sweden. However, the route
proved to be uneconomic and
was soon closed down.
1966 cover posted on board
the MIS Karlskrona sailing
on the Helsinki to Karlskrona
route.
The pictorial postmark was
used on mail posted on the
ferry while at sea.
