The Folkline, a ferry service between Kaskinen (Kasko) in Finland and Gavle in
Sweden was established in 1982 with the support of the Finnish Postoffice to
compete with the Turku to Stockholm route and the various routes from Vaasa.
The route proved unprofitable and was closed in 1984.
Postcard posted on the Folkline ferry sailing from Sweden to Finland with the
Kaskinen boxed paquebot mark applied on arrival.
