From April to September 1998 the Finnish Silja Shipping Line leased the British
registered roll-on roll-off ferry MIS Stena Invicta for service on the Vaasa to Umea
route. She had been employed on the cross Channel service between Dover and
Calais since 1991. The ship was re-named the MIS Wasa Jubilee and as it was British
registered, British stamps could be used on mail posted on board.
Postcard posted on the MIS Wasa Jubilee sailing from Umea to Vaasa franked with a
British stamp.
