The Mariehamn pictorial Navire maritime postmark that had been in use from 1977
was replaced in January 1993 with a new type depicting a reef knot.

1993 cover franked with Swedish stamps posted at sea on the ferry MIS. Alandsflirjan
sailing from Grado in Sweden to Mariehamn with the stamps cancelled with the new
maritime mail postmark.
