MS Kungsholm (1928)
As a neutral country, Sweden continued to operate its cruises but limited them to the West Indies on the
outbreak of war. The Kungsholm made 40 cruises between 1939 and 1941.
Posted from Havana on 18 February 1941, this publicity postcard from SAL with the printed signature of
Hilmer [Lundbeck, SAL Director] tells potential customers "I'm basking in the sunshine on the deck of
the Kungsholm about to land at Havana. Winter is far away. Don't envy me - take a cruise yourself in
March or April - they're better than ever"
Picture side of postcard (shown full size)
"Cruising aboard the Kungsholm while the folk Dance team perform"
