"Dear Gus and Adriann [Lund] - Just a f ew lines this afternoon before I forget my promise. We are
having a wonderful time on the ship. I have only skipped three meals in the dining room, so I have done
better than expected. We have lovely neighbours - one family are Danish and the other two are Swedish
families from Chicago. We visited back and forth and play cards and then go up and walk on the deck.
This noon we were 2000 miles out and have 1400 miles left to Gothenburg. Suppose to get there about 9
o'clock on Monday morning. Andy is thinking of selling our car in Sweden before we go back. We had a
nice drive across country to New York. And we enjoyed our visits in Nebraska, Kansas and New Jersey. I
enjoyed meeting Cousin Reinhold Freeden and his wife and two children. We spent about six days in
Summit New Jersey. Too many people around to write anymore ... "
