TYPE II
Type B the second of the Type Il hand stamps can be seen below.
TYPE B 1st recut
This stamp has generally smaller letters and smaller numerals, this identifies it from the Type A stamp which
has larger letters and numerals. The original stamp was issued on 22-03-56 after which there were ten recuts
issued between 30-08-56 and 12-03-58, with the first date being the issue date of this stamp.
The cover above shows a strike of this 1st recut with five 2d blues addressed to Florence. It is dated 06-10-56
and shows the code 'F'. This is so far the only strike I have recorded of this recut though others will exist,
it is just that I have not seen more.
