October 7, 1968. Launch of a Cuckoo Skylark 3, astronomy mission carrying onboard the ESRO S-47
payload consisting of an Ultraviolet Telescope prepared by Germany to perform stellar photometry in
the ultraviolet region of the spectrum. The satellite reached an apogee of 208 km.
November 22, 1968. Launch of a Skylark 3 AC rocket for ESRO astronomy mission. carrying the ESRO
payload S-41, with BCS Solar experiments for studying solar x-arrays. The satellite worked at an orbit of
210 km.
