April 26, 1993. Onboard Shuttle STS-55 is launched Spacelab D-2, a multinational multidisciplinary
Spacelab involving 88 experiments from eleven different nations. The experiments ranged from biology
sciences to simple earth observations. Four experiments were sponsored by NASA.
April 17,1998. Spacelab flew for the last time as “Neurolab” onboard the Shuttle Columbia STS-90.
Altogether SPACELAB has officially flown in 22 Shuttle missions between 1983 and 1998, in
different configurations showing its great flexibility..
