The Swedish American Line Passenger Fleet 1915 - 1975

11December1915 saw the maiden crossing of the SS Stockholm from Goteborg to New York.

Postcard produced in 1987 by Lions International and sold at 10 SKr, inscribed in Swedish:

"Jul bat en " 1915 - At the height of the World War SAL established a passenger service to America. Soon
it became the last connection from America, "Julbaten ", an institution and an unbroken tradition in the
history of SAL.
