TYPE l & TYPE 2 PORTRAIT HEAD DIFFERENCES
The new stamp design was heavily criticised. Initial printings had a severe line of shading above the
head(type 1) but when new stocks were ordered this shading was eliminated on the dies (Type 2):

The paper used for this and all other values is fairly thick. constant and tmwatennarkedSheets oo.nsist of
100 stamps( 1Oxl0) with no marginal markings. Shades vary :from milky emerald to emerald green and
