obliterated with an oval of bars similar to a cancellation in use in North Bomeo and sold at weil below face
~lne to F.R. Parker, a wholesale stamp dea!er. This was the conmien~am.ent of a long standing ammgement
which led to North Bomeo's bad pbilatelic reputation. -

Fomeries: In the reference volume of Foumier's work there is an imperf proof of the 50 cents value
handstamped .. FAUX" plus a specimen ofthe cancellation he applied "SANDAKAN / 23 / JUN / 1886", he also
forged the One Dollar value
