Part of letter (date now lost) from Henry White who had fought with distinction in the Napoleonic Wars. He was MP
fof County Dublin between 1823 and 1832, and again from 1857 to 1861. Additionally, he was IvfP for County Leitrim
between 1837 and 1847. Raised to the peerage in August 1863, he lived at Woodlands in County Dublin, Ireland.
The letter includes the lines "In all likelihood the House will sit on Monday, and even if we rise on Saturday I must
be in London on Monday evening. "
