MS Gripsholm (1925)

Uno Soderberg had joined the ship at Naples with his wife. This envelope is sent by the ship's captain to
Uno with an invitation to a cocktail party on board the ship. It is endorsed on the reverse to this effect.
This must be the shortest distance that an express airmail letter has travelled! It was sent on 4 March on
the stage between Malta and Alexandria .

Map card posted on board on 9 March 1935 on the stage from Alexandria to Haifa. This was the last stage
before the necessary change of route. The card was dropped of at Haifa on 10 March.
