Posted on board on the Syracuse to Messina revised stage with the ship's date-stamp of 18 March 1935.
The letter is registered and has the SJP 70 registration label that was used for the cruises.

The letter is franked with a set of the six stamps, without perforation varieties, issued for the
500 anniversary of the Swedish Parliament on 10 January 1935.

Part of reverse of cover with date-stamps showing the route taken through Italy:

Dropped off at Messina on 19 March receiving the Messina Ferr[ ovia] Corrisp e Pacchi date-stamp
followed by the Messina Ferrovia date-stamp on 20 March. The letter was then transported to mainland
Italy receiving the Amb Reggio Calabria date-stamp. It was taken by rail, receiving the Firenze - Milano
(20 March) and the Bologna - Brennero (21 March) railway transit date-stamps.
