On 21 February 1952 a new cancellation was introduced for the homeward voyage, the first time that
New York had preceded Goteborg on the postmark.

The envelope here was posted on board on 14 October 1954, receiving in addition a Moorhead City PA
cancel of 23 October with the Moorhead City paquebot.

This was a philatelic cover addressed to the wife of Gustav Lund. It is signed by John Nordlander the
master of the Stockholm and also by the chief purser. John Nordlander had a long history with the SAL
ships, including the war-time missions.
