MS Stockholm (1948)
On 25 July 1956, the Stockholm departed from New York on
her 103rd eastbound crossing. Gunnar Nordensson was now the
ship's master. Later that night as the Stockholm approached

Nantucket, the Andrea Doria was coming from the opposite ..
direction. In the resulting collision the Andrea Doria sank and
the Stockholm suffered severe damage, although was soon
back in service.
